Real Steel

If you are die hard lover of Transformers and Rocky series this movie will find its place in your favorite list.

Powerful and “Into the Character” performance by Hugh Jackman as Boxing Robot fighter Charlie Kenton and great supporting act by Dakota Goyo as 11 years old Max makes it even more interesting. Evangeline Lilly as daughter of Charlie’s Trainer plays a pleasant role in between to connect the links and dots to keep moving story forward while sitting in her Talent’s Gym.

Movie starts in 2020 with a Bull and a Robot fight which adrenaline raising music. But takes a usual path of failure of a hero and his family problems. Due to some reasons as Charlie gets custody of max accidently max found an old robot which makes all Charlie dream come true(which is very obvious and expected).

In spite of some illogical explanations’(like how max manage to get buried 12ft heavy metal robot out, bring above the surface of 200ft tall dam like structure and again meet Charlie where he was waiting for him…god knows when and how they convey this massage ) this will be one of the memorable movie.

After a long time I saw people actually feeling the fight happening in movie and completely into it.

Movie teaches you how you can be the Winner still if you lose the fight, how to have faith in yourself. How one’s self respect and self believe can help others to get introduced their unknown side and rise up.

Most of the time our body controls our mind but when our Mind starts controlling over body what type of miracle can happened can be learn through this movie.

Real Steel is really a great Entertainer.

Learning With the Movies

Psychological definition of learning says it’s “any relatively permanent change in behavior that occurs as a result of experience”. But in reality it doesn’t fit. People are very less to follow what they have learn if they don’t agrees what they have experience.

Concentration and involvement makes it more interesting. We can easily remember movies and their story lines or song lyrics because our whole involvement of mind is nowhere else at that time but when we try to study or learn something new we need to concentrate at that point only; with mind in one place, which makes learning difficult.

Audio and Video tools together are the most effective in teaching process.

Movies are the real reflection of our life, what we see and what we experience throughout the life, it’s an attempt to explain the life story or a plot within few hours.

Learning’s from the movie is an attempt to review movies through management perceptive and extract life and management lessons out of it.

Movies like Chak de India teaches you group dynamics, Lagaan teaches you importance of team work which can lead to victory and leadership qualities, batman Begins gives you ethical lessons etc.

Different people can learn different things from the same movie depend upon their perception about it, which can explain their logic behind it and hence it will be easy to understand what culture they came from, their priorities and values, their experiences in life etc.

“Movies have the uncanny ability to involve the audience at great depths and influence their mind to comprehend, create mental model and take action” – Raghavendra K. (VP and Head HR Infosys BPO)

A great movie can change ones way of looking at life.
